The Okteenerfest People’s Choice Car Show features three classes: Stock, Custom, and Modified (aka Outlaw).

When filling out the registration form, you will be asked to select the Class your 914 fits best. Below are guidelines to help in your selection.

STOCK – Any 914 or 914-6 that appears as it “MIGHT HAVE” in a ’70s Porsche dealership.

• Any replacement parts should have a stock appearance.
• Wheels/Tires – Only period correct OEM or aftermarket wheels.
• Paint and Body – Must be period correct Porsche color. Repaint OK in original stock color.
• Interior – Must have stock style seat covers, door panels, dash, etc. Aftermarket stereo system OK as long as it does not distract from an otherwise stock appearance.
• Period correct dealer installed/ aftermarket items allowable – steering wheel, shift knob, bumper over riders, luggage rack, etc.
• Engine – A 914-4 with stock 1.7, 1.8 or 2.0 as originally equipped by the factory; a 914-6 with a factory 6 cylinder. Common styles of aftermarket exhaust systems OK. No headers.
• No body modifications.

* minor customization such as floor mats, window or bumper stickers, etc is allowed.

CUSTOM – For the most part, any 914, 914-6 or 914/6 that does not meet the STOCK classification guidelines.

• Wheels/Tires – Aftermarket wheels OK with whatever tires will fit under narrow body.

• Engine – Aircooled Type 4 or Porsche 6 (factory 914-6) ONLY. Any style of aftermarket exhaust system OK including headers. DTM Cooling OK.
• Non-factory paint color. Bolt-on bumpers such as 916 style, fiberglass stock look, etc. Non-period wheels (eg: Boxster rims, Cookie Cutters, etc).

MODIFIED (aka OUTLAW) – Anything that doesn’t fit in Stock or Custom class and drives the purists crazy!
