Okteenerfest remains in east Tennessee for the 6th straight year. With its beautiful setting, a great venue and, most importantly, easy access to some fantastic mountain roads, Townsend and the Highland Manor Inn are a tough combination to beat. With plenty of room for not only our 914s but also truck and trailer rigs, a car show field, and gathering space both indoors and out, the Highland Manor Inn (with its Boxster-driving owner) has become our 914 base in the Smokies.
What better way to spend a long weekend in the fall than with other 914 enthusiasts for a weekend of driving, showing and socializing! So finish up that project, dust off the garage queen, trailer that race car or hop in your daily driver and head to the mountains of East Tennessee for a weekend you will not soon forget.
What’s that? Your 914 isn’t running or is in pieces scattered across the garage, basement, storage unit, extra bedroom…
No worries! If it is close to done and you can trailer it, use the combined knowledge of fellow 914ers to help get it running and on the road. And if your 914 still can’t make it, drive whatever will get you here – be that another Porsche or anything else – and quiz the gurus on how to best get your project back together in time for next year’s event!
